Quansah tracked by Liverpool

Liverpool are keeping a close eye on Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah after Arsenal’s interest during the summer transfer window.

Quansah left the Reds for Leverkusen in the summer of 2025, and he has since developed into a key player for the Bundesliga heavyweights.

Liverpool could have triggered a £60 million buy-back clause to re-sign him in June, but instead opted for Ronald Araujo on loan from Barcelona.

Arsenal were then linked with a surprise move for the Englishman, but Leverkusen made it clear that they would not entertain his departure.

Quansah is likely to leave Leverkusen next summer, and it is claimed that the Reds could be open to a reunion with their academy graduate.

Leverkusen are aware of the increasing interest in the 23-year-old and may not provide any discount on the buy-back clause for the Reds.

If they sell Quansah to another club, the Reds still stand to benefit from a sell-on clause on any profit (signed for £30m) made from the transfer.
