Manchester United have their sights on landing Bournemouth left-back Adrien Truffert, according to Teamtalk.
The Red Devils were fancied to sign a new left-back this summer, but could not find a suitable solution before the deadline.
Newcastle United’s Lewis Hall was named as a top target, but the Englishman never looked like joining the Red Devils.
Hall has since penned a new long-term deal with the Magpies, and he has his sights set on staying put for the next few years.
Hence, United may need to pursue an alternative and reports claim that Truffert could emerge as a prime candidate.
The Frenchman has made a big name for himself during his time with the Cherries and has become a regular for Les Bleus too.
It may not be long before he pursues a bigger challenge away from the South Coast, but the Cherries are set to demand a high price.
Marco Rose’s side could hold out for £60m for a sale.
