“I appreciate what he has done, you know, when he took over as a captain with the Test team, especially. It was brilliant, what he did with that team,” Rohit added.

While their leadership roles have evolved over the years, Rohit revealed that his relationship with Kohli remains strongly rooted in regular communication.

He further revealed how the conversations work in both directions. If Kohli notices something in Rohit’s batting, he may offer his perspective, while Rohit does the same when he spots something in Kohli’s game.
“And, at the same time, there has been a lot of discussion about how both of us as individuals can improve our own game. So, sometimes if something is happening with my batting, he comes and mentions it, sometimes I mention it. So that conversation always keeps going, so it’s not different,” the former India skipper added further.
