Taylor Sheridan's Landman Enters Its Biggest Era Yet

Landman has just entered its biggest era yet with a massive streaming milestone. Taylor Sheridan’s many TV shows continue to prove themselves major hits on network TV and on streaming. While the Yellowstone TV show franchise gets most of the spotlight, with the original series, prequels, and sequels, Sheridan has a hand in several other TV shows from standalone universes. One of those is Landman. Even though it is not part of the Yellowstone franchise, those who watched the Western series and/or the other shows in the franchise will find Landman to be quite similar in tone and setting.

Landman tells the story of Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris, a petroleum landman right at the heart of West Texas oil boomtowns. After season 1 debuted in 2024, Landman season 2 started airing on November 16, 2025, with its final episode being released on Paramount+ January 18, 2026. While Sheridan’s hit series did release new episodes earlier this year, Landman has gone several months without any new releases. However, that has not stopped Landman from entering its biggest era yet, as the neo-Western series just hit a colossal milestone that only few TV shows have managed to match.

Taylor Sheridan’s Landman Crosses A Massive New Milestone On VOD

Landman has hit the impressive milestone of 400 days on the Amazon VOD TOP 25 TV Shows chart in the United States. That means it has managed to trend on the digital chart for over a year, which is a massive feat, even if Sheridan shows are expected to be popular on streaming and VOD. At 400 days, no other TV show on Amazon VOD has spent more days on the coveted list than Landman, at the time of writing. The TV show that comes the closest to it is still a ways off, as Anne of Green Gables is at 293 days.

Adding to that impressive record is the fact that Landman is back on the rise on Amazon VOD nationwide. Right now, Landman is the 19th most-watched TV show on Amazon VOD in the United States. Sheridan’s gritty neo-Western series also climbed three positions on the chart in a day, showing its staying power. Landman has left behind shows like Alone, the masterpiece HBO limited series Chernobyl, Next Gen NYC, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Sheridan’s spy thriller series Lioness, and more. The most-watched TV show on Amazon VOD at this time is the animated hit South Park.

Season 3 Is Finally Shaping Up

Early in season 2’s run, Paramount+ officially renewed Landman for season 3 last December. Initially, the plan was for the Sheridan neo-Western series to start filming its next season in May, but that did not end up happening. Landman season 3’s filming start was delayed to the end of August, which means that the show is now working hard to get its next batch of episodes done. As such, Landman hitting this massive Amazon VOD milestone, trending for a whopping 400 days, completely untouched by other shows on the chart, comes at the perfect time, with season 3 filming underway.
