Over the course of five seasons, FBI: International brought a unique perspective to the standard procedural with a fascinating group of characters that elevated every episode. The FBI franchise, which comes from the mind of Dick Wolf and once consisted of three separate FBI vehicles, has become smaller over the years, but the achievements of the past spinoffs can’t be erased. FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted both ran through 2025 before their respective cancellations. Though the franchise now only consists of FBI and the new series CIA, the original spinoffs developed a great group of intense characters to follow.
FBI: International, specifically, spent four seasons from 2021 through 2025 telling stories about the Fly Team, who tracked fugitives overseas, investigated international crimes, and navigated the complicated relationships between the US and other foreign governments. The CBS series balanced high-stakes action with a deep sense of storytelling that resonated with viewers, despite some consistent shake-ups in casting as the series went on. The Fly Team’s best members may not have always been the central figues of the show, but FBI: International was able to develop some memorable figures as the series continued, some standing out as the franchise’s very best.

Claire Armbruster
Sarah Junillon
An FBI Intelligence Analyst who joined the series in its third season, FBI: International welcomed Claire Armbruster (Sarah Junillon) toward the end of the series’ run. Working with the Fly Team to expand its slate of analysts, Claire supported the team’s investigations by providing information from headquarters, while the rest of the team were moving across Europe to take care of their cases. While Claire was an interesting part of FBI: International season 3, her character never became a driving force of the series like others in the analysis unit. Even so, Claire was memorable throughout her season on screen.

Ernesto Saunders
Stefan Trout
Another intelligence analyst, Ernesto Saunders (Stefan Trout) joined the Fly Team during FBI: International season 3 and stuck around throughout the duration of the series. Much like Claire, Ernesto was brought in to work as an analyst with the team, sticking around at headquarters as the rest of the team moved from case to case across the continent. As one of the only analysts to remain for more than a season on the series, Ernesto wasn’t a massively developed character, but his longevity made him a familiar face that viewers were able to stick with as FBI: International continued on.

Katrin Jaeger
Christiane Paul
As the Fly Team’s original Europool liaison, Katrin Jaeger (Christiane Paul) was integral in establishing the identity of FBI: International during its first season. While the character would go from a regular to a guest star in subsequent seasons, missing out on FBI: International season 3 completely, Katrin was a huge part of the early days of the team. Frequently serving as a bridge between the FBI and the local authorities in Europe, Jaeger was a standout throughout the initial episodes of the series, and helped to define the dynamics at play in the scope of the international show.

Amanda Tate
Christina Wolfe
Amanda Tate (Christina Wolfe) joined the Fly Team during FBI: International season 3, working as a supervisory intelligence agent and quickly becoming a huge part of the team’s balance. While Amanda was contributing through intelligence rather than field work, she was able to bring a fresh perspective to the investigations at hand and had an edge to her that made her a tremendously valuable asset to the rest of the International team. Coming into the larger ensemble with a great sense of chemistry with the rest of the cast, Amanda made a lasting impression during FBI: International’s final two seasons.

Jamie Kellett
Heida Reed
As an integral character for the first three seasons of FBI: International, Jamie Kellet (Heida Reed) was Forrester’s second in command. One of the Fly Team’s founding members, Jamie was an experienced and capable agent who was able to work well in the field, even with limited understanding of what she was walking into. Playing a key role in the team’s success as it grew, Jamie was a grounded agent who knew how to challenge those around her to be better. Her exit after FBI: International season 3 is often said to be one of the show’s greatest losses.

Andre Raines
Carter Redwood
One of the few characters who was part of FBI: International throughout its four-season run, Andre Raines (Carter Redwood) evolved consistently throughout the show’s run. Initially introduced as an FBI agent who had a background in accounting, Raines gradually became one of the Fly Team’s most dependable field agents, learning more with every case. Though he came from a more mundane background, Raines’ analytical thinking was able to counterbalance the knee-jerk reactions some of his colleagues had in difficult situations, weighing down their impulsivity. A well-rounded agent, Raines became more confident in his work and himself throughout FBI: International’s run.

Megan “Smitty” Garreston
Eva-Jane Willis
Although she missed out on the first season of the series, Megan “Smitty” Garreston (Eva-Jane Willis) joined FBI: International season 2 and stuck around for the rest of the show’s run. As the replacement within Europool for Jaeger, Smitty established herself as an entertaining part of the series right away. Her sharp sense of humor was only outweighed by her resourcefulness and intelligence, which helped her to navigate the Fly Team’s work while staying on top of the international elements they didn’t necessarily need to contend with. Smitty became far more than a replacement during her run on International.

Wes Mitchell
Jesse Lee Soffer
A replacement for Forrester, Wes Mitchell (Jesse Lee Soffer) led FBI: International throughout its fourth and final season, which was both intriguing and puzzling to viewers. The FBI universe and the One Chicago universe are interconnected, which left things strange when Soffer left his role as Jay Halstead to play Mitchell, but the character quickly won over the show’s audience. Over the course of the season he was there, Soffer’s Wes was able to revitalize the series with a collaborative nature, which made it all the more difficult to handle when FBI: International was canceled after four seasons on CBS.

Cameron Vo
Vinessa Vidotto
As the team’s second-in-command after Kellet’s resignation, Cameron Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) grew into one of the most beloved characters on FBI: International throughout her time on the series. Vo was able to combine her high level of intelligence with her confident nature and her compassion as she grew in her role, becoming an integral piece of the Fly Team’s fabric. Her strong relationships with the rest of the team were a huge part of her appeal, and the fact that she’s one of the show’s defining figures makes it clear that FBI: International’s audience loved the show’s team elements best.

Scott Forrester
Luke Kleintank
As the original leader of the Fly Team, Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank) was the face of FBI: International for its first three seasons before departing from the series. Dedicated to his team and the cause at hand, Forrester knew what he was doing and how to do it, despite needing help navigating the international nature of his work. While he was an aggressive leader, Forrester was determined to move through his cases for his team and the truth. Forrester’s influence on FBI: International is undeniable, and regardless of where viewers sit on his character, he was a force of nature.
