Aston Villa are likely to focus on landing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson after the departure of Ollie Watkins.
Watkins is currently the subject of interest from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, and he has already agreed personal terms with the Middle East side.
His agents are pushing for an agreement with the Villans, but as things stand, the Midlands outfit have snubbed the latest offer of around £40 million.
Al-Hilal are prepared to come up with an improved bid in the near future, and there is optimism that Villa will eventually sanction the striker’s sale.
Unai Emery‘s side have already started the process of pursuing a replacement and have identified Chelsea‘s Nicolas Jackson as a prime target.
Jackson previously worked under Emery at Villarreal, where he was a revelation, and it is claimed that the Spaniard is keen on a reunion with the striker.
Chelsea are likely to demand at least £60m for his departure, as per reports.
