Arsenal have set their asking price for midfielder Martin Zubimendi amid interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Blues currently have one of the best midfield partnerships in Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, but the latter could be on the move.

Manchester City are weighing up an approach for the Argentine, and it has been claimed that manager Enzo Maresca has recommended it.

Maresca shared a fond bond with Fernandez during his time as Chelsea‘s manager and he is eager to reunite with the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, the Blues are already looking at potential candidates to replace Fernandez, and Zubimendi has emerged as a top target lately.

Blues boss Xabi Alonso knows Zubimendi from his time as Real Sociedad B’s manager and has been in constant contact with the Spaniard.

Arsenal are open to selling him after the purchase of Bruno Guimaraes. They plan to demand at least £75m and won’t accept less for him.
