Marvel Officially Unveils Wild New Captain America Suit

Marvel‘s Captain America has seen several unique suit iterations over the years, with Steve Rogers’ iconic costume evolving alongside the character across comics, films, and video games. While the classic red, white, and blue design remains the most recognizable, developers have regularly introduced alternate outfits inspired by different comic runs, film appearances, and original officially licensed interpretations for various other projects.

With Independence Day celebrations in full swing, Captain America is once again taking center stage as one of Marvel’s defining patriotic heroes. And Marvel is marking the occasion by introducing a brand-new Captain America suit redesign inspired by the Fourth of July, giving players another fresh take on the Sentinel of Liberty’s iconic look, and this one is sure to raise some eyebrows (via X).

As part of a provocative new celebration for July 4th weekend, Marvel’s free-to-play action hero multiplayer game Marvel Rivals has officially revealed a wild new Captain America suit. The newest Captain America skin will be available from July 2 at 9:00 AM to July 31 at 2 AM UTC, and shows off the “Seaside Sentinel” like you’ve never seen him before—that is, unless you remember the Marvel Swimsuit Special issue #1 from 1992.

The new Marvel Rivals Captain America skin is already turning heads among players for how it accentuates the hero’s… finer features in a tight spandex uniform that leaves nothing to the imagination. Fans are noting just how “caked up” Captain America looks, and are absolutely loving it so far.

The new Captain America suit is not the only new skin available for Independence Day celebrations this month, as the announcement also includes two other Marvel Rivals beach-themed skins for Loki and White Fox. All three skins are available now alongside a brand-new patch that launched on July 2, which fixed a bug for Cyclops’s Ricochet Force and an issue with Rogue’s Ability Absorption.
