Born Again Star Teases New Bullseye Costume For Season 3

Bullseye steps back into the spotlight with a brand-new look.

Daredevil: Born Again is a Disney+ series that follows the titular vigilante, also known as Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), as he is forced back into the superhero lifestyle after attempting to break free from it. The series is a continuation of Netflix’s Daredevil, taking place several years after the events of the original show.

Wilson Bethel, who will portray Bullseye in Daredevil Born Again season 3, has offered fans a sneak peek at his character’s costume as production continues in New York City. The latest glimpse at Bullseye’s new look is already generating plenty of excitement among fans on social media.

The actor recently shared a brief behind-the-scenes video from the set of Daredevil: Born Again on Instagram, giving viewers a closer look at Benjamin Leonard “Dex” Poindexter’s newest costume details. While the footage doesn’t reveal the full suit, it does show his arm and hand armor, along with a bullseye logo. The image immediately sparked speculation that Marvel Studios is finally presenting a version of Bullseye that resembles the comic book character, which many fans have wanted to see on screen for years.

Bethel’s Bullseye was first introduced in Daredevil season 3 on Netflix as an unstable FBI agent. In the series, he impersonated the titular vigilante while wearing a black version of his suit in an attempt to destroy his public image. His performance was praised by many as one of the highlights of the season, with critics and audiences applauding his intense take on the classic Marvel villain.

When the villain appeared in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, his outfit had changed significantly from what he wore during the third season of the original series. Disney+’s original version leaned more into its comic book roots than Netflix did. However, despite paying homage to the source material, many viewers felt the costume didn’t stay faithful enough to the character. But Bethel’s social media post has given fans of the comics more hope that when they see the character again, his costume design will meet their expectations this time.

Bullseye was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist John Romita Sr. He first appeared in Daredevil #131 in 1976. The villain was introduced as one of Daredevil’s most dangerous enemies, an assassin with incredible precision who can use nearly any object as a lethal weapon despite not having any superpowers. Since then, he has appeared in several comic books and even had three of his own limited series, Bullseye: Greatest Hits by Daniel Way and Steve Dillon (2005), Bullseye: Perfect Game by Charlie Huston and Lan Medina (2011), and Bullseye by Ed Brisson and Guillermo Sanna (2017).

Daredevil Born Again seasons 1 and 2 are now available to stream on Disney+.
