Works wonders for dust! Have it set up next to my computer to help reduce the dust my fans take in. I have all hard floors and three dogs that carry in a lot of dirt from outside. It has noticeably reduced the amount of dust on my computer desk!
I’ve had this filter for almost a year now, and it has been running (on a low setting) for almost that entire time. It’s on my kitchen counter, and I have it running all the time to just generally clean up the air. Occasionally, I’ll turn it up to high if I’m cooking something that produces a lot of smoke. It does a really good job of getting the smoke out of the air fairly quickly. I don’t change the filter very often, and it still runs great.
On the silent and low settings, it’s mostly unnoticeable. It does make a little noise at high, but it’s similar to a small fan running on low, still pretty quiet.
