Plenty of incredible shows are currently streaming on Disney+, but these three are the perfect choices to binge this weekend. Disney+ has become a hub of some of the biggest franchises in the world over the years, with a range of shows and movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as Star Wars movies and TV shows.

Of course, there are also a host of Disney and Pixar movies and shows on the platform, dating back decades. Of all these options, these three TV shows currently streaming on Disney+ are the perfect options to binge, start to finish, this weekend.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, the spinoff series to the beloved 2007 show Wizards of Waverly Place, was first released in October 2024. To the delight of many, the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place cast saw the return of some of the original show’s biggest stars, from Selena Gomez as Alex Russo to David Henrie as older brother Justin Russo.

A number of other Russo family members also returned, and even the show’s brand-new characters proved to bring the same tone, energy, and heartfelt nature that was maintained throughout Wizards of Waverly Place. This lighthearted, fun-filled tone is in part what makes the show so binge-worthy.

While Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is targeted towards a younger audience, older viewers who grew up with the original show will find plenty of nostalgia waiting for them as they binge through the spinoff’s 21 episodes. What’s more, now is the perfect time to begin streaming Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

If viewers jump into the show now, they will be fully caught up on the plot ahead of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place season 2, which is set to release with a two-episode premiere on Disney+ on September 12, 2025. Although the story details for that season remain to be seen, there’s no doubt plenty to look forward to.

Wizard Beyond Waverly Place’s ratings also speak for themselves. At present, on Rotten Tomatoes, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place has an impressive 89% rating from both critics and audiences. Agatha All Along

Although it is not the newest installment in the MCU, Agatha All Along is a brilliant Disney+ show available to stream, and it would make the perfect watch for a weekend. At only nine total episodes, Agatha All Along takes just over six hours to watch in full, and each episode packs a punch.

Agatha All Along stars returning character Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn), a witch who first appeared in WandaVision—largely considered one of the MCU’s best TV shows. Agatha All Along, set after WandaVision in the MCU timeline, picks up where that show left off in terms of Agatha’s story.

Specifically, in the WandaVision ending, Wanda left Agatha trapped in Westview, once again fully trapped in the illusion that she was Agnes, the so-called nosy neighbor. Agatha All Along sees Agatha in a brand-new role, now teaming up with a group of other witches to attempt to make their way down the Witches’ Road.

Yet, not unlike WandaVision, things are not quite what they seem, and that is perhaps the most exciting and intriguing aspect of the show. Audiences and critics seemingly agree that the show was a success, as the critic and the audience scores are both currently sitting at a respectable 83%.

Viewers may worry whether they can binge Agatha All Along without watching every MCU show and movie that comes before it, as this is an expansive franchise. While there are of course going to be details that those who have seen all the movies and shows will pick up on, watching everything that comes before is unnecessary.

Most characters in Agatha All Along were brand-new in the show, and those that were returning characters didn’t have extensive roles in the movies or shows up to that point. Arguably, just watching WandaVision in advance would be enough and would only add another approximately six hours to the total watch time.

Even without doing so, though, Agatha All Along will be great fun to watch on its own for those who are looking for a quick, binge-worthy show with compelling characters, a sense of humor, deeper themes, and an air of mystery to start and finish this weekend.

Andor

Finally, the best Disney+ show to binge this weekend is Star Wars’ Andor. Earlier this year, Andor released its second and final season, which solidified its spot as one of Star Wars’ best TV shows. In fact, many believe Andor is the franchise’s single best TV show to date and one of the best Disney Star Wars projects overall.

Andor certainly proved it deserved these accolades, especially in the second season, which managed to conclude the story arcs of its ensemble cast in satisfying ways across the board in the Andor season 2 ending and maintained an impressive balance between a focus on the galaxy far, far away and connections to struggles in the real world throughout the season.

Like Agatha All Along, some may worry that binging Andor will be too confusing because Star Wars has become expansive as a franchise as well, but Andor is in part so loved because it doesn’t require substantial knowledge of Star Wars movies and shows thus far.

In fact, that is one of the points of the show, as Andor is meant not to repeat the same stories of the Skywalker family and the Jedi versus the Sith, but rather present a look at the boots-on-the-ground efforts to stop the Empire and the sacrifice that required from people who never saw the glory Luke Skywalker did.

Viewers can jump right into Andor season 1 without prior knowledge of the franchise and still be captivated by the characters, the story, and the themes. Granted, this will be a slightly greater demand of viewers’ time. Andor seasons 1 and 2 both have 12 episodes each, and it’s estimated that watching the entire show would take around 20 hours.

That number drops by a few hours if recaps, intros, and end credits are cut out. While that would still be a more significant chunk of time, it is doable in one weekend for audiences who are truly looking to binge, and it is absolutely worth the time it would take.

After all, Andor has an incredible 96% critic score (and 89% audience score) on Rotten Tomatoes overall. When broken down by season, Andor season 1 has a 96% critic score and an 88% audience score, and season 2 has a 96% critic score and an 89% audience score, proving that both seasons are also considered comparably strong.

That rather difficult feat alone suggests that Andor is worth the watch, and just given the high-stakes stories and compelling plotlines, it will prove easy to complete all in one weekend. What’s more, if brand-new Star Wars viewers binge-watch Andor and find that they love it, the sequel story, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is already available as well.

There are no doubt many wonderful movies and TV shows available to stream on Disney+ this weekend, but for those looking to binge, these three shows, and especially Andor, are the perfect choice.
