Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills
This is a no-brainer pick. The Dolphins are in complete disarray and look like they’re destined to fire their head coach midway through the season. On the other side, the Bills are once again positioned to win the AFC East for a sixth consecutive season. The ‘Phins are 1-9 in their last ten games against the Bills and haven’t won in Buffalo since 2016. That trend continues this week.
Bills win 29-17
Sunday Early Games
Green Bay Packers @ Cleveland Browns
Joe Flacco is like a statue in the pocket. His complete lack of mobility against this swarming Packers defensive front is a recipe for disaster in The Land. The Packers won’t have to do much to win this game. If they score at least 18 points, that should be enough to down the Cleveland Browns. They haven’t scored more than 17 points in a game since December 2nd, 2024.
Packers win 27-16
Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans
Indy comes into this one riding a four-game win streak against the Titans that dates back to October of 2023. Even though Tennessee has remedied its quarterback problem, they have no way of protecting Cam Ward, who has already taken a league-high 11 sacks. With a defense that gives up 26.5 points per game, the Titans won’t have any way to stop the Colts’ balanced offensive attack, which is ranked second in yards per game.
Colts win 31-21
Cincinnati Bengals @ Minnesota Vikings
Who isn’t excited for the battle between Jake Browning and Carson Wentz?! What’s interesting about this game is that it features some of the best skill position players in the NFL. Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins, etc. The Vikings have the defense to give Jake Browning problems all day long. The Bengals do not have that same luxury on that side of the ball. There’s also no way Carson Wentz will play worse than J.J. McCarthy.
Vikings win 24-19
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New England Patriots
The Seelers’ defense can’t be this bad, right? They might let up a lot of points, but they also have a ton of talent on that side of the ball. I think T.J. Watt will give Patriots offensive tackle Will Campbell his “Welcome to the NFL” moment. At the same time, Aaron Rodgers should be able to slice and dice the Pats’ 32nd-ranked pass defense.
Steelers win 25-23
Los Angeles Rams @ Philadelphia Eagles
This is the game I am most excited for this weekend (outside of Packers-Browns). The Eagles look a little sluggish on the offensive side of the ball as they continue to get used to Kevin Patullo’s playcalling. That isn’t the case for the Rams, who got both Davante Adams and Puka Nacua going last week. With some concerns in the secondary and only two sacks on defense, the Eagles won’t look as good as they did when these teams last met in January.
Rams win 29-27
New York Jets @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
It’s unclear who the Jets’ starting quarterback will be with Justin Fields in the NFL’s concussion protocol. It probably won’t make much of a difference, though, whether it’s Fields or Tyrod Taylor. The Bucs have guts and a lot of pride. The Jets do not, as demonstrated by their 30-10 drubbing at home last weekend. The Buccaneers come out on top in another close one because that has been the theme of their season so far.
Buccaneers win 24-18
Las Vegas Raiders @ Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels will be healthy enough to play, but his mobility will probably be limited as he deals with a knee injury. That will make Maxx Crosby’s job of getting after the quarterback much easier. Plus, the Commanders don’t have the playmakers in the secondary to disrupt Raiders quarterback Geno Smith, who probably won’t be running for his life like he was on Monday Night Football.
Raiders win 25-22
Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers
The Panthers’ defense is not nearly as good as Tampa’s or Minnesota’s, which should make it much easier for the Falcons to get the ball into the end zone. On top of that, the Panthers are allowing 140 rushing yards per game, which means Bijan Robinson will once again be able to break off some big plays. The Dirty Birds’ newfound pass rush will also be able to get after Bryce Young with the Panthers down two starting offensive linemen.
Falcons win 28-18
Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
The Texans have been stifled by two of the best teams in the NFC in back-to-back weeks. They’re not nearly as bad as their record might make them seem. There are still some offensive play-calling concerns, but Houston should have more success finding the end zone against a Jags team that is allowing opponents to score touchdowns on 60% of their red zone trips. And if Trevor Lawrence and Brian Thomas Jr. are going to keep acting childish, there’s no way the Jaguars beat Houston.
Texans win 24-20
Sunday Late Games
Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers
That loss to the Indianapolis Colts can make or break a team. With their psyche already hanging on by a thread, it’ll be very difficult to contain a Chargers squad that looks like one of the four best teams in the NFL. Keenan Allen is playing like a young man, and Quentin Johnston is finally catching the ball consistently. That gives the Bolts enough weapons to overwhelm Denver’s defense, especially with Justin Herbert now using his legs to make things happen offensively.
Chargers win 26-24
New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks
The Saints have a lot of fight in them, but the Seahawks are an incredibly gutsy team. In the case of immovable forces vs. unstoppable objects, talent usually wins out, and Seattle has more talent than New Orleans. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald should be able to force Spencer Rattler into making mistakes that will end up costing the Saints the game.
Seahawks win 21-15
Dallas Cowboys @ Chicago Bears
In the last five quarters that they have played, the Chicago Bears’ defense has given up 693 total yards of offense, while letting opponents score 73 points. This comes at a time when the Dallas Cowboys just put up 40 points and 478 yards on the Giants, who have a better defense than Chicago. The Bears will be without their best cornerback, which will make defending CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens that much harder. Chicago doesn’t have enough firepower to win this shootout.
Cowboys win 33-29
Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
This is a genuine toss-up. The Cards are playing well, but it also feels like they’re making mistakes that could cost them late in games against better competition. In a divisional matchup, with a much-improved defense, Arizona will eke out a road win because San Fran won’t have an answer for Kyler Murray’s scrambling abilities. After all, this 2025 49ers are a less talented version of the team that lost to the Cardinals 47-24 in Week 18 last year.
Cardinals win 22-21
Kansas City Chiefs @ New York Giants
If there were ever a must-win Week Three game against two winless teams, this would be it. The Chiefs will have the whole world watching and rooting against them as they travel to the Big Apple to avoid their first 0-3 start since 2011. The Giants don’t have the secondary players to contain Patrick Mahomes, who will come out guns blazing. Meanwhile, KC has a much better defense than Dallas or Washington, which should cause Russell Wilson to come crashing back down to Earth.
Chiefs win 21-17
Detroit Lions @ Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens put up 41 points on a day when Derrick Henry was held to 23 rushing yards. Considering their best defensive tackle is injured, it’ll be incredibly difficult for the Lions to contain Baltimore’s rushing attack. However, the Lions have enough offensive firepower to go toe-to-toe with the Ravens. Baltimore’s clock-eating drives will not leave Detroit with enough time to pull out the victory on the road.
Ravens win 30-28
