Struggling Brentford lose midfielder Milambo for rest of season

Brentford have confirmed midfielder Antoni Milambo will miss the rest of the season after suffering an ACL injury on international duty.

Milmabo, who joined the Bees from Feyenoord in the summer, sustained the injury while playing for Netherlands Under-21s against Bosnia-Herzegovina. He was taken off on a stretcher.

The 20-year-old has received limited playing time at Brentford so far, making three appearances, two of them coming in the EFL Cup.

Still, the news is a blow to Brentford, who have claimed only one win in their last five Premier League matches.

Brentford have taken seven points from as many games and sit 16th in the table. They face second-bottom West Ham on Monday.
