Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are keen on landing the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher during the January transfer window, according to TBR Football.
The England international was a loan target for the Red Devils before the transfer deadline on September 1, but Atletico refused to accept the proposal.
United have since struggled for control in the centre of the park and could be prepared to make a permanent offer for Gallagher at the turn of the year.
TBR Football claim that the Red Devils won’t be alone in the pursuit and could face competition from Spurs for the services of the Chelsea graduate.
Spurs were keen on landing the versatile midfielder during his time at Chelsea, but the Blues preferred to offload him abroad to Atletico.
Gallagher’s time at Atletico has been a mixed bag. He has been a regular off the bench this term and could be willing to move on this winter.
With the World Cup coming up next summer, Gallagher could cement his spot in the England squad by starring in the Premier League again.
