Manchester United are on the verge of signing Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez this summer, according to Clarin.
The Red Devils recently suffered a setback as goalkeeper Andre Onana picked up a hamstring injury, but he has made good progress.
It has been claimed that he could be fit for the back end of pre-season.
This has not ended the speculation over a new shot-stopper and Clarin report that Martinez has ‘everything’ packed to join United.
The 32-year-old has a release clause worth £21.6 million in his contract, but the Red Devils are ready to pay more for a long-term payment plan.
Martinez has already given the green light for a dream move to United and it remains to be seen whether Andre Onana‘s early return influences things.
Onana recently picked up a hamstring injury, but it is not as bad as initially feared. His early return could dent Martinez’s prospects of joining the club unless he is sold.
