Invincible Confirms Conquest’s Comic Comeback Ahead of Season 4

Warning! Warning! Spoilers ahead for Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #6!

Invincible’s deadliest Viltrumite warrior, Conquest, is officially returning as the next major villain in the spin-off series Battle Beast. With Conquest expected to play a significant role as an antagonist in Season 4 of the Invincible TV series, fans are about to have more of the ultra-violent Viltrumite villain than they can handle soon enough.

Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #6 is written by Robert Kirkman, with art by Ryan Ottley, the creative team behind the original Invincible comic series. The end of the issue teases Conquest as Battle Beast’s next opponent.

Battle Beast #6 is the end of the series’ first arc, but there is little resolution. Instead, readers are left with several strong dangling plot threads for the book to explore in its next arc, including the confirmation that Conquest is being sent to the planet Fantania to do what he does best: subjugate it and eliminate any opposition.

When Battle Beast debuted, author Robert Kirkman and artist Ryan Ottley noted that its protagonist wouldn’t be the only familiar face from Invincible that readers would recognize in the series. Conquest’s looming role as an antagonist is an escalation of Battle Beast’s stakes, while also expanding its ties to the Invincible Universe of its title.

Conquest is regarded as one of the most brutal enemies Invincible faced in the original series. His appearance in Season 3 of Amazon’s Invincible adaptation added to this legacy. Of course, exposing the vicious villain to a wider audience, voiced by Walking Dead-alumni Jeffery Dean Morgan no less, has left fans clamoring for more. And Robert Kirkman is ready to deliver.

2026 Is Poised To Be A Huge Year For Conquest, Invincible’s Deadliest Enemy

Appearances On The Page And On Screen Add To The Villain’s Legacy

Despite Conquest’s reputation, he actually appeared in less than a dozen issues of Invincible. That speaks to the disproportionate impact he had as an adversary for the hero, along with how memorable the character was in a limited span of time. It also explains why Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley, and Invincible fans would be eager to revisit Conquest.

Fans will have to wait until March 2026 for Battle Beast #7, which readers now expect will officially reintroduce Conquest. That is around the same time Invincible Season 4 premieres on Amazon, and Conquest is expected to have a big part in that as well. Meaning it is going to be a massive year for Invincible’s most ferocious antagonist.

Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #6 is available now from Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment.
