India will shift focus from white-ball action to the longest format as they prepare to host West Indies in a two-match Test series starting October 2 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The red-ball contests form part of the new ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle. With Shubman Gill set to captain India in his first home Test series, the excitement among fans is high, and ticket sales for the opening match have already begun.
IND vs WI Ahmedabad Test ticket prices revealed
The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) has announced prices for the India vs West Indies first Test at Ahmedabad. The five-day encounter, scheduled from October 2 to October 6, will take place at the world’s largest stadium which boasts a capacity of over 1.3 lakh spectators.
Ticket rates have been designed to accommodate fans across categories. Entry-level prices begin from ₹350 for lower-stand sections B, C, F, and G, while other lower stands like A, D, E, and H are priced at ₹500. For premium viewing, the Southeast and Southwest Bays (2 and 3) are available at ₹1000 per day. At the top end, the President Gallery (Bays 1–4) has been set at ₹3500 per day.
It is worth noting that these prices are exclusive of taxes, and fans need to buy separate tickets for each day of play. The BCCI and GCA are expecting strong turnouts throughout the match with the October 2 public holiday likely to boost crowd numbers on the opening day. Ahmedabad has previously witnessed record-breaking attendance, especially during India’s matches in ICC events, making this Test a highly anticipated fixture.
