Como manager Cesc Fabregas has his sights on landing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee during the January transfer window.
The Netherlands international signed for the Red Devils from Bologna last year, and he had an average debut season with just three Premier League goals.
He has had a difficult start to the current campaign too. Zirkzee has been a late substitute and has barely looked like starting ahead of new arrival Benjamin Sesko.
It is now reported that Fabregas and Como are monitoring the Dutchman’s situation and believe they could bring him back to the Serie A in the New Year.
Zirkzee was linked with the likes of Napoli and AC Milan over the summer, but it was Rasmus Hojlund, who ended up joining the former on an initial loan deal.
United were determined to keep Zirkzee in their ranks, but the attacker could push for an exit in January, given he needs game time to play at the World Cup.
The 24-year-old has lost his place in the Dutch national squad in 2025 amid his struggles at United. He may want regular playing time ahead of the World Cup.
