Saliba commits long-term future to Arsenal

Arsenal star William Saliba is set to end speculation over his future by penning a five-year contract at the club, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The France international has been a phenomenal performer for the Gunners since making his debut against Crystal Palace in the Premier League in August 2022.

His progress has made him one of the best centre-backs in the division, and Arsenal have now convinced him to commit his future to the club.

Saliba’s current deal expires in June 2027. He is now expected to sign an improved contract until the summer of 2030 in the next few days.

The Frenchman has followed Gabriel Magalhaes to prolong his stay. Bukayo Saka is expected to follow them by agreeing a long-term deal.

Arsenal take on Newcastle United on the road in the league this weekend. The game is a must-win as they are already five points behind leaders Liverpool after just five games into the top-flight campaign.
