All Locker Combinations Guide (Girl Code Explained)

Once you reach the middle school in Silent Hill f and solve the box puzzle you find there, one of your main goals will be to open a key locker found on the first floor of the building. Managing to do so, however, requires some sleuthing. Along the way, you can pick up hints to open several other lockers, all of which offer rewards of their own.

Understanding how to open every locker requires you to pick up an understanding of “Girl Code,” a fairly simple code with a few quirks. Alternatively, you can just input the correct code for each article and ignore how everything works, but it’s more fun to walk away with some Girl Code expertise.

How Girl Code Works In Silent Hill F

Most of the lockers you need to open in Silent Hill f have combinations based on Girl Code, which you can start to pick up via a series of notes found throughout the school. Girl Code is a relatively simple system for converting letters to numbers or symbols that look similar.

The Rosetta Stone for Girl Code is a note explaining how SATOU and YOSIDA translate to Girl Code. If you don’t find this one, another note suggesting that AOI is the code for one locker or a couple of notes implying that BAKA = 84*4 can otherwise be used to figure out the core concept.

Notes found in the school establish the following Girl Code transcriptions:

  • A = 4
  • B = 8
  • D = 7
  • K = *
  • I = 1
  • O = 0
  • S = 5
  • T = +
  • U = 6
  • Y = x

The trickiest relevant one here is U = 6, which you might be pressed to solve through brute-force application if you don’t find the note explaining how SATOU translates into Girl Code.

If you don’t want to bother with finding notes or translating Girl Code, you can simply input the correct numbers into each locker. Aoi’s locker can be find in a locker room that’s unlocked from the start, while other lockers are in the room to its right, which requires a key to access. Before acquiring the key to the second locker room, you’ll have to find the key to the second-floor hallway in the flowers outside the school and do a bit more exploring.
