Yes, Venom Really Is Joining the X-Men Franchise

In a new status quo for the X-Men, Venom will be joining the franchise. “The Age of Revelation” will be the next arc for the X-Men, taking a massive decade-long time jump in which the deadly mutant Revelation plunges the Marvel Universe into a dark future – and the X-Men will need Venom’s help to stop him.

Marvel just announced that one of the X-Men franchise’s four new “Age of Revelation” series will be Sinister’s Six, featuring Venom in an X-Men roster led by Mister Sinister. The vehicle from writer/artist duo David Marquez and Rafael Loureiro is currently scheduled for an October 15 release date. Below, readers can find Marquez’s cover art.

In addition, here’s a synopsis:

A SINISTER HEIST! X YEARS LATER, Mr. Sinister assembles an elite strike force to take his rightful place…on the throne of Revelation! What has Sinister offered Havok, Black Cat, Domino, Omega Red, Fantomex and Venom to convince them to take on impossible odds? Are Sinister’s misfits throwing their lives away, or has Revelation underestimated how far his subjects will go when there’s nothing left to lose?
