Xbox has made a number of games free this weekend thanks to Free Play Days. And while you’ll need some kind of Xbox Game pass subscription to play some of them, there are two games that you can play for free, even if you don’t have a membership.
However, you only have about 24 hours left to play them, so you’ll need to act fast. As we previously reported, four games are playable for this weekend’s Free Play Days. The offer ends late tonight on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Depending on when you read this, that means you have very little time left to take advantage of this offer.
Xbox Gamers Have One Day Left For These Free Games
While there are four games being offered, only two are free with no Game Pass required. Those games are:
- NHL 26
- Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream
The SOA game has gotten mixed reviews, but it could be worth checking out if you’re a fan of Sword Art Online already. NHL 26 reviews are a bit more positive, and with hockey going on at the Winter Olympics right now, it’s a good time to try out your own skills with the sport. You can also read more details over on the official Xbox website if you’d like.
There Are New Free Games On Xbox Every Week
To play either game, you’ll need to find them through the Xbox app on console or PC and then select to play the temporary free trial. Just remember that the games will vanish once the offer expires on Sunday, February 15, 2026. If you want to keep playing after that, though, both NHL 26 and Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream are discounted on Xbox right now.
If neither of these games are your cup of tea, then don’t worry. Free Play Days happen every weekend, so maybe you’ll enjoy next week’s offerings even more. Some weeks, a Game Pass membership is required to play all the games, but other times, like this weekend, a few titles are offered for everyone on Xbox.
It’s honestly a pretty cool promotion, and Free Play Days has had a great run lately, including offering up 6 games from the weekend before. Sometimes, you can even play them beyond a single weekend, which is even better. And typically, the games also go on discounts at the same time. It’s a win-win for anyone with an Xbox. Just remember that you only have about 24 hours left to play the two games here.
