When Will It Debut On Peacock?

Another Colleen Hoover book adaptation is now out in theaters with Reminders of Him. Released by Universal Pictures on March 13, people around the world are now able to witness the romantic story originally told in the author’s 2022 novel in a new way.

Starring Maika Monroe and Tyriq Withers as Kenna Towan and Ledger Ward, Reminders of Him received an exclusive theatrical release from Universal in the hopes of becoming the third straight successful Hoover book-to-movie adaptation. It Ends With Us ($351 million) and Regretting You ($90.4 million) both showed audiences’ willingness to see these stories on the big screen.

But with the popularity of at-home viewing options, you may be considering waiting until the well-reviewed Reminders of Him is available on streaming to check it out. As a Universal release, it’s known the movie will stream on Peacock, even though an official release date hasn’t been confirmed. Luckily, we can project its landing spot thanks to the studio’s tendencies.

Reminders Of Him Should Release On Peacock In July 2026

The expected arrival of Reminders of Him on streaming changed right before the film’s release, with Universal updating its plans for theatrical windows. They announced on March 12 that all their 2026 movies would be exclusively available in theaters for five weekends, at the bare minimum.

That five-weekend window speaks directly about the studio’s plans for making its movies available on PVOD, not its streaming service, Peacock. However, the new window does provide insight into when films like Reminders of Him will go to streaming, as that always happens after a digital release.

If we give Reminders of Him five weekends in theaters exclusively, the movie will likely go to PVOD platforms on April 14, which would be 32 days later. There are past examples of Universal titles waiting that long (or longer) to go to digital, making those films examples for how the studio will then handle the streaming debut of its Colleen Hoover adaptation.

Over the last three years, Universal movies that had a 32+ day exclusive theatrical run waited 127.9 days on average to release on streaming. This includes The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Oppenheimer, Kung Fu Panda 4, How To Train Your Dragon, Jurassic World Rebirth, both Wicked movies, and more.

So if we apply the same average gap to its new romance drama, we create a projection of mid-July for Reminders of Him‘s streaming release. The specific date that it falls on could vary depending on how exactly the studio handles the digital-to-streaming gap.

The most common approach for Universal in the past has been using 119 or 120-day gaps between theaters and streaming. That repeatedly meant waiting 86 or 87 days after the film hit digital.

Applying that same schedule to Reminders of Him gives us a projected debut on Peacock on Friday, July 10. Universal typically releases its movies on streaming on Fridays, so this date would line up with how the studio tends to operate. This is all assuming the studio doesn’t shorten the digital-to-streaming gap.

In any case, Reminders of Him‘s projected streaming release is later than it otherwise would’ve been had Universal not made its recent changes. The studio averaged an 85.6-day gap between theatrical and streaming releases for its 2025 titles. If they handled this movie the same way, it’d come to Peacock a full month earlier.

If you don’t want to wait about one month before the movie is available to buy or rent on digital or possibly three months before its streaming, then heading to the theater is the only way to see the latest Colleen Hoover adaptation.
