What followed left the crowd cheering and smiling, as the young Eisakhil confidently dispatched his father for a towering six, creating a moment to remember for the family and cricket lovers alike.

The special moment occurred during Match 8 between Amo Sharks and Mis Ainak Knights. Nabi, bowling for the Mis Ainak, came around the wicket and delivered a slightly fuller ball. Eisakhil, aged 18 and representing Amo Sharks, got down on his right knee and slogged the ball over deep mid-wicket for a massive six. The confident strike showcased not only his fearless approach but also the generational shift in Afghan cricket.

After conceding 12 runs in the over, Nabi was taken off the bowling attack, while the video of the father-son duel quickly went viral on social media.

Match highlights: Amo Sharks collapse, Mis Ainak dominate

Eisakhil starred with the bat, scoring 52 runs off 36 balls at a strike rate of 144.44, providing Amo Sharks with a solid platform. However, the team faltered in the death overs, collapsing from a strong position to being bowled out for 162 in 19.4 overs. They lost five wickets in the final 12 deliveries, managing just six runs during that phase.

Mis Ainak Knights responded with an aggressive start in their chase. Openers Wafullah Stanikzai Tarakhil and Khalid Taniwal powered the team to 105/1 in just 8.2 overs. Tarakhil blazed 49 off 21 balls before falling, while Taniwal stayed unbeaten on 42. Captain Rahmanullah Gurbaz joined him at the crease as the Knights cruised toward the target.

On the bowling front, Naveed Zadran picked up 4 wickets, Khalil Gurbaz grabbed 3, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman added 2 to restrict the Sharks’ scoring.
