The very best Paramount+ shows to binge-watch this week, December 22–26, 2025, include beloved classics, acclaimed Emmy winners, and holiday gems. Screen Rant has gathered the top 5 must-watch series for you and your family to enjoy this holiday season.

Paramount+ offers a wide range of great streaming content across all genres, particularly neo-Westerns, crime thrillers, and all-time classic sitcoms. As a lead TV writer and critic at Screen Rant, I can confirm that these 5 series are some of the best on the platform.

Screen Rant has also assembled updated streaming guides for major platforms like Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video, and HBO Max. Be sure to check those recommendations out as well, and get ready to find out what to watch on Paramount+ this week, all perfect for bingeing.

Boston Blue

The new 2025 CBS crime drama series Boston Blue just dropped its mid-season finale on Paramount+ last Friday, December 19. The hit new cop show starring Donnie Wahlberg and Sonequa Martin-Green, which was filmed mostly in Boston, MA, will return on Friday, February 27, 2026. Until then, viewers have nine episodes to binge-watch of the 82% Rotten Tomatoes series.

Boston Blue is very easy to get into for fans of Wahlberg and traditional network police shows. The series actually serves as a spinoff of Blue Bloods, one of the most popular and longest-running police drama shows in CBS’s history. Wahlberg reprises his role as NYPD detective Danny Reagan. All 14 seasons of Blue Bloods, which ran from 2010 to 2024, are also available to stream on Paramount+.

Frasier

Frasier is a great nostalgic option to binge-watch on Paramount+ this week. Whether it’s the celebrated original series, which was a massively successful spinoff of Cheers, one of the best sitcoms of all time, or the recent two-season reboot that debuted in 2023, Frasier is always a safe bet for a feel-good comfort show on Paramount+.

The original Frasier series also features several classic Christmas episodes out of its 263 total episodes across 11 seasons that aired from 1993 to 2004. While Cheers takes place in Boston, the OG Frasier series is set in Seattle, with Dr. Frasier Crane, played by 5-time Emmy winner Kelsey Grammer, returning to Boston in the 2023 reboot. Whether you’re just getting into the series or rewatching it once again, Frasier is a great comfort show full of heart and humor.

Landman

Now is an ideal time to be a Landman fan, as the highly anticipated second season is already well in stride, having just released its sixth episode on Sunday, December 21. With just four episodes left until the Landman season 2 finale comes out on January 18, 2026, this week is an excellent opportunity for first-time viewers to dive into one of Taylor Sheridan and Paramount’s most-watched series.

Currently trending at #1 in the United States and #2 worldwide (only after South Park), Landman is the definition of must-see TV in December 2025. Blending family melodrama with a deep dive on-the-ground look into the modern oil industry, this series has plenty to offer between heartfelt tragedy, tense and high-stakes business dealings, and strokes of comedy.

If you love Sheridan’s other projects, especially Yellowstone, then Landman is truly a must-watch series for you. Billy Bob Thornton leads an outstanding ensemble in one of his career-best performances, joined by A-listers such as Jon Hamm, Demi Moore, and Sam Elliott.

Ghosts

Ghosts has been a staple comedy series for CBS and Paramount+ since it premiered in 2021. While it contains “spooky” elements, this acclaimed fan-favorite series is a true sitcom at heart, blending elements of comedy and fantasy to create something that is equally familiar and unique, while also being wildly binge-worthy.

Ghosts just dropped two holiday-themed episodes on CBS last week for its mid-season finale, collectively titled “It’s a Wonderful Christmas Carol.” Both episodes are highlights of the show’s fifth season, which will return with new episodes in late February 2026.

Considering its near-perfect 97% Rotten Tomatoes score and the fact that a sixth season is already confirmed by CBS, Ghosts is one of the best and coziest modern sitcoms to binge right now on Paramount+.

Mayor Of Kingstown

At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, Mayor of Kingstown season 4 has proven with each new weekly episode that it is one of the best, if not the very best, crime dramas on streaming right now. While the show is tonally dark and bleak, which admittedly doesn’t bring about much holiday cheer, the series puts on a masterclass in the crime thriller genre, especially with its latest fourth season.

The season 4 finale of Mayor of Kingstown will release on Paramount+ this Sunday, December 28, giving viewers who haven’t started the fourth season yet enough time to catch up before then. Jeremy Renner is exceptional as the titular “Mayor” of the fictional prison town, Kingstown, Michigan, as is a wide ensemble cast that includes co-creator Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, and season 4 newcomer, Edie Falco.

With its perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score and its upcoming season 4 finale, there’s no better show to binge-watch on Paramount+ this week than Mayor of Kingstown.
