Today’s Connections Hints & Answers For March 05, 2025 (Puzzle #633)

If you need a bit of relief from today’s Connections puzzle, you might need a few hints to give you that blessed break. This puzzle, like the last one, had some categories that felt hard to fill at the time I was attempting to solve it. It can make you feel frustrated and a little sad, but luckily, it is less sad for me as I get to help you finish off your puzzle without losing your streak. If you’re here to get that help, proceed below to get all the hints you need.

If you want a much more complicated puzzle to solve, you should check out The Password Game puzzle. This game is constructed of a load of smaller puzzles that all have to interlock and complement each other to create the strongest password you have ever seen. You will have to spend a lot of time on the first few you attempt to solve, just to figure out the rhythm and what the 15 rules are, but once you get the hang of it, you will be solving them without a problem every day.

Today’s Connections Category Hints

MARCH 05 #633

If you need some help on today’s puzzle, I am on your side because I wish I could have had a little help with this one. I got two of the categories fairly quickly, but the rest proved to be a challenge that I couldn’t quite unravel. I kept dancing around both of the categories, and it felt a little unfair in the end. However, it will be less frustrating for you, because I have these four clues to help you get the right solution right now:

  • One category is about things that are as far away as they possibly could be
  • One category is about four things you can do to a particular body part
  • One category is about four things that might make you react a certain way
  • One category is about four things that can proceed another word in a phrase that turns it into something more energized

PERIPHERY

BORDER

FRINGE

SKIRT

This was the first category I got and was the easiest one for me today. I saw FRINGE and BORDER and was fairly certain I knew where that was going, and I ended up being right about that. I was a little scared about putting SKIRT in the category, and it’s weird now that it’s categorized as a “periphery” but I suppose you can “SKIRT” the edge of something. It’s just odd that its use here is as a verb when I saw it belonging here more as something like a Christmas tree skirt.

BITE

FILE

PAINT

This is where things started falling apart for me. I found it very frustrating that all of these are popular tools to use in things like Photoshop or Gimp, particularly with DODGE in the puzzle as well. I was very frustrated that I was one away and then still one away when I added DODGE in, as I really thought I was on the right track. For it to be BITE and completely unrelated to a computer does bother me a little, but I do see how it makes sense now, so I can’t be too mad about it.

This one I did get, and I was very happy about it. I saw ONION and ALLERGY and wondered about them, knowing they can both make people react quite violently. Finding the remaining words was a little difficult because I wasn’t sure about RELIEF since it’s so different from the other too. I also wasn’t sure about MELODRAMA because it felt odd to add it in and I’m not sure why. However, once I did decide to go for it, I got it right and was happy I did.

I am sad and resigned to the fact that the sportsball got me again, but I don’t like the category name at all. It just doesn’t make any sense, and I think there should at least be a comma in between “ball” and “recreational.” Or it could be in parentheses or quotes or anything that would set it off in a different way. Maybe it makes perfect sense to someone else, but it felt very weird to me and I just don’t like it.
