Viktor Gyokeres will be in attendance when the Arsenal striker’s new club play the second match of their Asian tour on Sunday.
Sweden striker Gyokeres completed a switch from Sporting for up to £64 million on Saturday and his team-mates are returning to the Singapore National Stadium to face Newcastle, who may be in the market for a forward themselves with their top scorer last season, Alexander Isak, absent from their tour.
Gyokeres’s compatriot is said to have an injury issue but continues to be heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, having scored 27 times in all competitions in 2024/25.

Newcastle charge between £4.99 and £6.99, with passes to watch seven pre-season games ranging from £7.99 to £29.99, depending on whether viewers have memberships with the club.
When does Arsenal’s 2025/26 Premier League season start?
The first round of Premier League matches in 2025/26 will be on the weekend of August 16 2025, including Arsenal’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday, August 17 at 16:30 BST.
The game against the 2024/25 Europa League finalists is being shown live in the UK on Sky Sports Premier League, Ultra and Main Event.
The last round of matches this season will all start at the same time on May 24 2026. No rounds will take place within 60 hours of each other and there will be no fixture on December 24.
