Steam is back with yet another incredible event and this one will allow PC gamers to get stuck into hundreds of upcoming games courtesy of a selection of free demos. Running from 23 February to 2 March, the Steam Next Fest is a celebration of upcoming games, allowing players to try them out and add them to their wishlists ahead of their full launch over the next few years.
With an unlimited amount of demos to play over the next week, you will no doubt be stacking up that wishlist with everything from action-adventure RPGs to indie platformers, life simulation titles to cozy narrative adventures.
Steam Next Fest February 2026 Is Live Now
Kicking off overnight, Steam’s Next Fest 2026 is now underway with demo suggestions covering every genre. By heading over to the official page, you will see that it is currently organized in a way which highlights ‘Recommended For You’, before heading onto games that fall under a specific genre, such as MOBA, Hero Shooter Games, and more. Finally, the full list can be found at the bottom of the page, and with over 3452 to scroll through, you have got a very busy upcoming week.
As with any Steam list, you will be able to filter it in order to find games that suit you more. This includes filtering by genre, sub-genre, themes & moods, platform, and single and multiplayer. This will help searching through the thousands of titles a lot easier. With demos lasting anything from a few minutes to a few hours, or allowing players to spend as much time as they want in certain areas, the Steam Next Fest offers hours of gameplay to be had, and may even be a way for you to find your most anticipated upcoming release.
There Are Literally Hundreds Of New Games To Try For Free
Just from casting a quick eye on the Steam Next Fest page, I can already see some incredible demos that are up for grabs. This includes Vacation Café Simulator, which will allow you to run your very own café and restaurant in Italy. There is also Pratfall, a co-op game where players must fall, dig, and explode their way down a dangerous cave in search of a lost dog. What Is the Ghost is an indie horror game where you will explore haunted locations, survive dangerous hunts, and gather evidence to become the best ghost hunter around, and Scriptorium is one of the most unique games I have seen, tasking you with making stunning medieval artworks.
All of these and thousands more are free to check out in demo form right now, and if you enjoy any of them, make sure to add them to your wishlist so that Steam can notify you when they are released fully.
