Amorim on Brentford loss

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has said that he is the right man to manage the club following the 3-1 Premier League loss to Brentford on the road.

The Red Devils have had another difficult Premier League campaign, and they have picked up only seven points from their opening six games.

United went into today’s encounter against the Bees in good spirits, but the result did not go in their favour after a poor performance.

Speaking after the defeat, Amorim reinterated that he is the right man to transform the fortunes of the Mancunian heavyweights.

He said: “It’s like ups and downs. When you win, you feel that everything, the momentum is there.

“When you lose, you go back to the same place and you fight again for one win that can help you to create the momentum.

“Guys, I’m always doing my job. If I win, I’m in a different state of mind. That is normal. I’m always confident because I know what to do.”

Amorim continues to receive the support from the hierarchy, but his future could come under serious scrutiny if they won’t win next weekend.

The Red Devils host newly-promoted Sunderland at Old Trafford. Anything less than a victory could pave the way for his potential departure.
