Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid: Confirmed line-ups for derby

Los Blancos cannot afford a slip-up.

Real Madrid host Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu needing a derby victory to cut the gap to LaLiga leaders Barcelona back to four points.

Barca stretched the advantage to seven with a narrow 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano earlier on Sunday.

A setback from Madrid against their city rivals would significantly decrease Los Blancos’ hopes of bridging that gap and pile pressure back on Alvaro Arbeloa, who could claim to have answered his critics with a 5-1 aggregate win over Manchester City in the Champions League.
