Ravens receiver Flowers pens huge $140m deal

The Baltimore Ravens have reached an agreement on a four-year, $140 million contract extension with two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers.

The deal includes $108 million in guaranteed money, making him one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL.

The massive extension solidifies his position as quarterback Lamar Jackson’s primary target.

Since being selected 22nd overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, the 25-year-old has led the franchise in receptions and receiving yards in every season of his career.

In 2025, Flowers posted career-best figures with 86 catches for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns, firmly cementing his status as Baltimore’s best receiver.

He became the fastest player in team history to reach 100 receptions and is the first Raven to record multiple 1,000-yard receiving campaigns within his first three professional seasons.

Baltimore’s commitment follows comments made by the wide receiver during training camp regarding his contract status.

“Honestly, I am just working right now. I am trying to get better. I leave that to my agents,” Flowers said. “Right now, I am trying to learn this offense, get closer to my teammates and my coaches, and just keep getting right for the season.”

The contract locks in a vital cornerstone for head coach Jesse Minter as he enters his first season leading the franchise. Minter expressed complete support for rewarding the star receiver’s work ethic and production.

“Great day for the Ravens. Shoutout to Zay Flowers,” Minter said.

“When your best players are the right type of people and they bring the right mentality and everything marries together, those are the type of guys, it’s such a great thing when stuff like that happens for them.

“There’s nothing better as a coach than to see those guys get what they deserve. Really happy for Zay and excited for him. I can’t wait to see him thrive in our offense.”
