Prime Video’s 6-Part Psychological Thriller Series Is The Perfect One-Night Weekend Binge

Prime Video subscribers looking for a TV show to watch this weekend have to look no further, as this psychological thriller series offers plenty of intrigue, suspense, and two talented leads. Prime Video’s roster of series includes quite a few returning hits to start 2026. Some of those are Tom Hiddleston’s The Night Manager, Cross, and now Invincible with season 4.

There is something for everyone on the streaming service. That said, some of Prime Video’s best shows are thrillers, and when looking at the perfect series to get lost in during a weekend binge, this TV show from a couple of years ago emerged as the perfect thriller to binge in one sitting. If you want a show that is hard to put down, this is the one.

Prime Video’s Intense Psychological Thriller Series Is Worth Watching

Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Will Taylor and Jenna Coleman as Liv Taylor in Wilderness

Wilderness was released on Prime Video on September 15, 2023. The British limited series was based on the book of the same name by B. E. Jones. Wilderness stars Jenna Coleman (Doctor Who) as Liv Taylor and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House) as Will Taylor. The duo seem like the perfect married couple at first, until Liv discovers news of an affair.

From that point on, viewers watch as Coleman’s character meticulously plans the best way to get revenge on her husband. This intense story is set against the backdrop of gorgeous national parks, as the couple goes on a road trip where every stop could be the last for one of them. Coleman delivers a tour de force performance, while Jackson-Cohen plays the mysterious husband well.

A chilling fog, an ancient evil, a seemingly perfect family’s dark secrets, a pop star’s obsessive fan: Prime Video’s best thriller shows have it all.

Wilderness‘ cast also includes Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson as Cara Parker, Will’s mistress, who sends the story into overdrive. The psychological thriller series never lets up. It slowly deconstructs both of its main characters, leading to a finale where all cards are on the table and the viewer can no longer determine how this will go. At the end, who is really the villain?

Why Wilderness Is The Perfect One-Night Weekend Binge

Wilderness is an underrated Prime Video thriller series, and for anyone looking for a show that is both intense and feels fresh, this fast-paced series is the perfect binge for the weekend. With only six episodes, the Prime Video psychological thriller is a show that viewers can realistically finish in one night. The suspense never lets up, so you’ll want to keep watching.

The fact that the show is a limited series also boosts its status as a solid one-night weekend binge, as new viewers will not have to worry about catching up on a multi-season show or waiting for new episodes to come out. The revenge thriller is already available in full, and Wilderness was even released all at once, different from many Prime Video shows. As such, Wilderness is an excellent binge option.
