Bournemouth, Sunderland and Everton are monitoring Dutchman Finn van Breeman, currently playing for Swiss club FC Basel. The centre-back moved to Basel in 2023 from Dutch club ADO Den Haag and is on the verge of a recovery from a meniscus injury that kept him out of action for most of last season.
The player underwent complicated surgery to repair his mensicus back in March and the player is expected to be back training with the ball in August. However, the injury has not deterred Premier League clubs who have already held an interest in the starlet since 2024.
The player will be available for around £6.5 million and the Swiss club will not stand in the versatile centre-back’s way should he opt to leave for England.
Van Breeman can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, but his most common position is at the heart of defence, and where he had been playing for Basel before his injury issues.
It is understood that Bournemouth are considering van Breeman as a replacement for Dan Huijsen, who departed for Real Madrid earlier in the summer.
