Predicted Liverpool line-up vs Everton today

Liverpool will be aiming to continue their perfect start to the Premier League campaign when they entertain arch-rivals Everton in today’s early kick-off.

The Reds have been unconvincing defensively in the early part of the season, but they have managed to continue winning thanks to several late goals.

Manager Arne Slot will want a routine victory in the derby this afternoon.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Alisson Becker is guaranteed to start between the sticks and will be eyeing a clean sheet against the Toffees.

With Jack Grealish‘s threat on the left wing for Everton, Slot should go with Jeremie Frimpong at right-back rather than the makeshift option of Dominik Szoboszlai.

Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk are guaranteed to start in the heart of the defence. Andy Robertson scored his first goal in a long time in midweek against Atletico Madrid. He should start over Milos Kerkez at left-back.

Alexis Mac Allister has returned to training after an injury scare. The World Cup winner should line up alongside Ryan Gravenberch in the centre of the park for the Anfield giants.

Florian Wirtz has yet to make a goal contribution in his Reds career, but he should continue in the no.10 role. Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo look set to feature out wide as usual.

It should be Hugo Ekitike over Alexander Isak upfront. Isak is not upto full fitness after a delayed pre-season. Ekitike deserves to get the nod, having already scored thrice this term.

Predicted Liverpool line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Everton: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Gravenberch, MacAllister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike.
