Persona 4 Revival is the next big release for Persona fans, but publisher Atlus and developer P-Studio haven’t yet provided a specific release date. Up until this point, all we’ve had to go on is a planned fiscal year 2027 release window, which places the game somewhere between April 2026 and March 2027. A new leak, however, might suggest that Persona 4 Revival will come closer to the tail end of that window.
On X, The Scarlet Joker, a “Funko News Reporter,” shared the rumor that Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops will be coming in “Early 2027.” This might not correspond exactly with the game’s release date, but some level of synchronization between the game launch and merchandising is likely. Fans have varying opinions about what exactly this means for the game’s release, but it does imply that it won’t be suddenly dropping in the next couple of months.
Persona 4 Revival Might Come In 2027
X user FoxDieSenpai270 opted for the more pessimistic view of the situation, suggesting that the Funko Pop release window means “Persona 4 Revival is scheduled for a 2027 release.” NinjaBoiii, however, argues that there’s still hope for a 2026 launch. With Funko Pops frequently hitting store shelves after the release of their source material, “we could get [Persona 4 Revival] at the end of the year.”
The planned release window for Persona 4 Revival Funko Pops also isn’t set in stone. The Scarlet Joker’s post comes with a disclaimer that “this is early information,” warning fans that “nothing is official until confirmed.” There’s still a chance that both the game and Pops could come earlier than expected, but there’s also a possibility that one or both will end up being delayed or that the Pops won’t release at all.
Persona Fans Are Used To Waiting
In the meantime, it’s still possible to play Persona 4 Golden, a port of the souped-up PlayStation Vita version of the game, on current platforms. Revival will come plenty of updates to the presentation and quality-of-life, similar to the overhaul between Persona 3 Portable and Persona 3 Reload, but Golden stands the test of time just fine.
Beyond that, Persona fans are still waiting to hear even a crumb of news on the inevitable Persona 6. The sixth mainline game still hasn’t been officially announced in any capacity, but here’s hoping a Funko Pop leak will follow Persona 4 Revival‘s example and give us a first glimpse of its release window sometime in the future.
