Outer Wilds is easily one of the most beloved and unique indie sci-fi adventure games ever made, and it has garnered a massive cult following over the years since its launch back in 2019. After the 2021 release of the renowned Echoes of the Eye DLC, players have been curious about what’s ahead from developers at Mobius Digital.
While there’s still no news on the studio’s next project or any new announcements for future Outer Wilds DLC, there’s a brand-new 2026 release that fans can check out and claim right now (via FanGamer).
Outer Wilds Gets Official 2026 Release, Available Now
While there isn’t a brand-new Outer Wilds DLC to get excited about for the time being, FanGamer just launched an official new addition to their lineup of Outer Wilds-themed gear. Fans can check out the brand-new Outer Wilds Campfire Hoodie and purchase it for just under $75 USD now.
It’s a unisex hoodie that comes in various sizes from XS all the way up to 6X, and features unique chest and back prints, a printed inner lining, and even an Outer Wilds Enamel Zipper. The front logo features a marshmallow stick over a bonfire, with the back print showcasing a beautiful rendition of the iconic Outer Wilds lander.
The new Campfire Hoodie is just one of several unique Outer Wilds-themed items available in FanGamer’s Outer Wilds collection. Players can also snag everything from Traveler Riebeck Plushies to Hatchling Training Log notebooks to the official Planetary Chart Mousepad, and more. Everything in the collection is officially licensed by Mobius and Annapurna Interactive, with new products being added regularly.
What’s Next From Outer Wilds Devs?
While it’s still unclear exactly what Mobius has in the works behind the scenes, they have confirmed that they’re working diligently on a brand-new project. However, outside this confirmation that something is in development, there are virtually no details whatsoever on what fans ought to expect.
It’s the subject of great speculation among players, with the Outer Wilds subreddit getting weekly posts wondering what type of game Mobius is working on and how Outer Wilds-esque it will be. It doesn’t seem that the development team has shifted focus away from their new upcoming game, and as such it is highly unlikely we’ll be getting any additional Outer Wilds DLC anytime soon, if ever.
That said, whatever shape Mobius’s next game ends up taking on, it’s bound to be highly original and creative, and will probably be something that nobody could have guessed at in the first place. One thing is clear: if it’s anything like Outer Wilds and the Echoes of the Eye expansion, players are in for an incredible experience.
