One-Punch Man season 3 has been a point of contention for fans of the series for some time now, due to a variety of factors that all add up to being bad news. That stack of reasons for concern has just grown larger, however, with one fan’s contact with voice actor Kyle Hebert, who voices Atomic Samurai in the dub.
Fans have had concerns about One-Punch Man season 3 almost since it was announced. It wasn’t long after the announcement that the studio for season 3, J.C. Staff, was confirmed. J.C. Staff handled One-Punch Man season 2, which left many fans displeased with the quality of the animation compared to the first season.
The one trailer that has been seen so far has done little to quell fan fears about season 3’s animation, and despite reassurances from the studio, it looks like the anime is suffering a number of production issues. With no new trailer at Anime Expo 2025, fan worries are at an all-time high, prompting one fan to reach out.
The Dub Cast Hasn’t Been in Touch With the Localization Team
Reddit user /u/honest-ad-4386 posted a video from TikTok live to Reddit, depicting voice actor Kyle Hebert answering a question about One-Punch Man season 3. While the question is cut off, Hebert’s answer indicates that he hasn’t been contacted about dubbing season 3 of One-Punch Man at this time.
While there are plenty of valid reasons why this might be the case, it does nothing to alleviate fan concerns about season 3. With the anime set to debut in Japan in October, it stands to reason that some voice actors may well have been approached about returning to their roles, as it has been nearly 6 years since season 2.
One-Punch Man Fans Shouldn’t Panic
Dub Voice Actors Are Rarely Informed of the Anime’s Production Status
Hebert having no news may seem like bad news, but there are other factors to consider. Dubbing is typically one of the last steps before an anime is released, and it’s likely that One-Punch Man season 3 isn’t there yet. Even with the “simuldubs” that Hebert mentions, a dub can sometimes be two to three weeks after a subtitled premiere.

One-Punch Man Creator Breaks Silence on the Anime’s Comeback With a Comment Nobody Expected
Murata and ONE, the artists behind the One-Punch Man franchise, share their thoughts on the upcoming third season of the anime.
Hebert’s character, Atomic Samurai, does have an important role to play in season 3, but he also has relatively little dialog and wouldn’t necessarily be among the first voice actors to be contacted. One-Punch Man has also historically not done simuldubs, and there’s no indication as yet whether season 3 will receive one.
As such, it’s not too concerning that Hebert doesn’t know much about the status of One-Punch Man season 3. Still, in a world where almost every piece of news attached to season 3 has been bad, it can be hard not to take this as another ill omen. Fans should keep their fingers crossed and continue waiting for the next One-Punch Man trailer.
