Michael Rooker’s The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 Character Is Already Doomed By His Major Career Trend

Warning: Contains SPOILERS for The Righteous Gemstones season 4, episode 6!

Michael Rooker plays a new character in The Righteous Gemstones season 4, but he is already doomed based on the actor’s major career trend. The Righteous Gemstones is known for its wacky side characters and its major guest stars, with each season introducing new and unique individuals with connections to the Gemstone family. The Righteous Gemstones season 4 continues this trend, with Michael Rooker’s Cobb Milsap appearing in season 4, episode 6, “Interlude IV.”

The Righteous Gemstones season 4 finally brings back the “Interlude” episodes, some of the most critically acclaimed episodes in The Righteous Gemstones‘ catalogue. This time, “Interlude IV” explores what the Gemstones were up to in the early 2000s, highlighting their friendship with the Milsap family. However, one of the Milsaps isn’t as loving as the others, with this being Michael Rooker’s Cobb Milsap.

Michael Rooker Has A Reputation For His Characters Typically Dying, Which Is Bad News For Cobb

He May Die If He Returns In Future Episodes

Michael Rooker is an exciting addition to The Righteous Gemstones‘ cast, but his reputation is bad news for Cobb Milsap. Rooker has a reputation for playing characters who die, something that could carry over into The Righteous Gemstones. The Walking Dead, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Suicide Squad, and more feature Michael Rooker playing characters who die before the end of the film, and The Righteous Gemstones could be added to that list.

Jesse, Judy, and Kelvin may have just taken over Gemstone Ministries, but their successor has already been revealed in The Righteous Gemstones.

Cobb Milsap doesn’t die in “Interlude IV,” and while it isn’t confirmed, it is possible that he could return in the present timeline. The fact that The Righteous Gemstones did some de-aging work on Rooker implies that an older version of the character will appear in a later episode. This means that Michael Rooker’s Cobb could die in a future The Righteous Gemstones episode, joining the ranks of other dead The Righteous Gemstones villains.

The history of Gidoen’s name was just revealed in “Interlude IV,” potentially setting up the rest of his The Righteous Gemstones season 4 story.

Cobb’s hostility toward Lori and the Gemstones makes him a prime suspect. He could even be feeding his victims to the alligators, with them getting a surprising amount of screentime. There is still a lot to learn about Cobb, and hopefully, he returns in the next episode of The Righteous Gemstones.
