Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Free Download Leaves Gamers Stunned: "No Words"

Added to the PlayStation Plus library as part of its February selection, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is once again taking the world by storm, almost three years on from its original launch. Released as a direct sequel to both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the 2023 entry saw Peter Parker and Miles Morales come together to take down some iconic Marvel villains such as Venom, Sandman, Kraven, and more.

Developed by Insomniac Games, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 went on to receive critical acclaim with praise for its narrative, gameplay, and improvements on its predecessor and, as such, it sold over 2.5 million copies in just 24 hours and is widely regarded as one of the best PlayStation 5 games ever made.

That is why gamers were over the moon to learn that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 would be heading to the PlayStation Plus library back in February, allowing members to get their hands on the hit title for absolutely free. Added to the Extra and Premium tiers, PlayStation 5 players could get stuck into the web-slinging action, especially if they missed out on playing it back in 2023.

With Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 still being available as part of the service, players are still taking advantage of the deal, with many saying they have “no words” for how incredible the game really is. Over on r/PlayStationPlus, one user shared, “Absolutely no words. Amazing game. Finished the game this week and had an absolute blast with it as a longtime Spider-Man fan. My personal favorite of the three games. I’ll never understand the hate for it online. This game is straight action from start to finish.”

It was not long before fellow fans took to the comments to share their own thoughts, and it seems as though Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 really does deserve its accolades. “I get the hate because the first game, when it released — was insane, IS insane.
