Manchester United could explore the signing of Southampton wonderkid Tyler Dibling after missing out on Geovany Quenda to Chelsea.
The Red Devils were tipped to sign Quenda from Sporting CP earlier this year, but there has been a massive twist over the last 48 hours.
The Blues have reportedly hijacked United’s pursuit of the 17-year-old. He has undergone his medical and will join them in the summer of 2026.
United now need to look at an alternative and reports claim that the club could make an approach for highly-rated Dibling, who plays for the Saints.
Southampton have had a horrendous return to Premier League football, but Dibling has been a stand-out performer for them in many games.
RB Leipzig looked at signing him during the last transfer window, but the Saints slapped a hefty £55m price tag to put the German side off.
However, the asking price could be much lesser this summer, considering the Saints are expected to return to the Championship very soon.
