Casemiro to stay at Man Utd?

Manchester United could make a major decision on midfielder Casemiro amid his impressive form during the second half of the season.

The Brazil international confirmed in January that he would be leaving the club on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30.

He has since been in sensational form in the centre of the park for the Red Devils and has also chipped in with goal contributions too.

Casemiro has hardly put a foot wrong and reports in Brazil claim that United are now contemplating the prospect of keeping him with them.

Talks are ongoing with his representatives behind the scenes and he could yet end up staying with a short-term contract for another 12 months.

United interim manager Michael Carrick has ruled out that prospect and it remains to be seen whether the club change their stance formally.

The Red Devils are presently third in the league with 55 points, seven ahead of sixth-placed Chelsea. They are in a strong position to qualify for the Champions League next term.
