Manchester United have submitted an opening bid worth £25 million to sign Olympiacos wonderkid Christos Mouzakitis during the winter transfer window, according to Sportime.
The Red Devils are keen on bolstering their midfield department this winter and they have been linked with several names over the past few months.
Sportime now claim that United have tabled a first offer worth £25 million for Mouzakitis. Real Madrid are also keen and have made a slightly improved offer for the 18-year-old starlet.
However, Olympiacos are unlikely to accept such a proposal. They are said to be eyeing at least £35 million to contemplate an exit at the start of the year.
Otherwise, they could delay the midfielder’s exit until the end of the campaign. Mouzakitis is content to stay and has no plans to push for a mid-season exit.
Brighton & Hove Albion are also keen admirers of the Greek sensation, but they have not made any sort of offer for the youngster thus far.
