Manchester United will reportedly need to pay €60 million to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Conor Gallagher during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils were keen on landing the England international over the summer. They made a loan approach for Gallagher on deadline day, but the proposal was swiftly rejected by Atletico.
United are likely to return for the 25-year-old at the turn of the year but Mundo Deportivo claim that he won’t be allowed to leave unless a permanent transfer can be negotiated for his services.
Diego Simeone‘s side will demand at least €60m to permit Gallagher’s return to the Premier League. Gallagher was previously a big success with both Crystal Palace and Chelsea before his move abroad.
Gallagher’s reluctance to pen an extension paved the way for his Blues exit last year, but he could be tempted to return to the English top-flight if an opportunity arises in either January or next summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are also big admirers of the midfielder.
