Manchester United are reportedly weighing up an approach for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson this summer.
The Red Devils are guaranteed to strengthen their midfield department this summer with the prospect of multiple exits on the cards.
Casemiro is poised to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires on June 30, while Manuel Ugarte could likewise depart.
The latter has been frustrated with the lack of regular minutes, and there are claims that he could be offloaded alongside Casemiro.
Anderson has been identified as a prime target and Fabrizio Romano claims that he is really appreciated by the Red Devils’ hierarchy.
However, a deal won’t be easy to pursue, considering Manchester City are also hot on the trail of the Englishman ahead of the summer.
Forest are aware of the increasing interest in the former Newcastle United graduate and are expected to hold out for at least £75 million.
Anderson would prefer to sort out his future before the World Cup.
