Manchester United have increased contact to sign Atalanta midfielder Ederson at the end of the campaign, according to Tuttosport.
The Red Devils signed Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain to bolster their midfield last summer, but they are likely to add another option.
Christian Eriksen is expected to leave the club when his contract expires this summer. There is a possibility that Casemiro could head out too.
Tuttosport now claim that Ederson is a top target for the Red Devils and the club are planning to intensify their pursuit over the coming weeks.
The club are prepared to pay around €55-60 million to purchase the Brazilian star and believe they have the upper hand in the transfer pursuit.
Real Madrid have also been linked with the midfielder, but they don’t have concrete interest. Meanwhile, Juventus are unlikely to afford him.
United failed with an enquiry for the 25-year-old last summer and appear in a strong position to land his signature at the end of the campaign.
