Lewis-Skelly wanted by Man Utd

Manchester United are reportedly planning a shock move for Arsenal defender Myles Lewis-Skelly during the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are expected to bolster their defence at the end of the season and a new left-back is one of the prime targets for the hierarchy.

Luke Shaw is the regular in the position, but the club are eyeing a proper competitor, given Patrick Dorgu is more comfortable as a winger.

Teamtalk claim that United are keeping tabs on Lewis-Skelly, who has barely played for the Gunners in the Premier League this campaign.

He has played second fiddle to Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie, and appears to be frustrated with his current situation at the club.

The Englishman is poised to push for a summer exit and the Red Devils could capitalise on the situation to bring him to Old Trafford.

Lewis-Skelly won’t come on the cheap still. The Gunners could hold out for a premium fee of at least £40m, given his age (19) and potential.
