Manchester United have made a formal bid to sign Moise Kean from Fiorentina, as the 25-year-old striker looks set for a surprise to return to the Premier League to join Ruben Amorim‘s side. After scoring 19 goals in 32 Serie A games last season, United scouts were sufficiently impressed enough to persuade the club’s board to activate the player’s transfer release clause of 45 million euros.
Kean, a former player of Juventus and also England top flight side Everton, is said to be ready for a return to the Premier League and is keen to move to Old Trafford. An unsuccessful first spell in England saw Kean score 2 goals in 32 games and the Italian international is keen to prove his doubters wrong. Last season was Kean’s best season a sa professional, and Fiorentina paid just 18 million euros (with add-ons) to secure the forward’s signature.
Kean has recently fast tracked his way back in to Italy’s national side, and has now scored 7 goals in 21 appearances, two goals of which have come in his two caps in 2025.
It is understood that the player will be given permission to speak to United on Wednesday, and will fly to Manchester for talks thereafter.
