Liverpool set price for Harvey Elliott

Liverpool are prepared to demand at least £40 million to sell Harvey Elliott, who is attracting interest from Newcastle United, according to Football Insider.

Elliott has been a fringe player for the Reds this campaign as manager Arne Slot has barely rotated in the Premier League games.

He will enter the final two years of his deal this summer and reports claim that the Reds could sell him for the right transfer fee.

The Merseyside giants have set an initial asking price of £40 million, but the final fee could rise to £50 million if there is a bidding war.

Newcastle are interested in landing the Fulham graduate and it remains to be seen whether they make a huge outlay for his services.

The Magpies have found a proper solution on the left wing in Anthony Gordon, but they don’t have the same presence on the right.

Elliott has the ability to play in midfield or the right wing. The 22-year-old would be a fantastic buy for the Magpies due to his potential.
