Liverpool could be handed a big injury boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Chelsea on the road on Saturday.
The Reds have suffered back-to-back losses in all competitions. They were beaten 1-0 by Galatasaray in the Champions League in midweek.
In the same game, Alisson Becker was substituted early with a hamstring issue, while Hugo Ekitike could not continue in the second half.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has already ruled out Alisson from the Blues game, but Ekitike could have an outside chance of making the squad.
It is now reported that Ekitike could be deemed fit for the encounter, having been named in the France squad by head coach Didier Deschamps.
Deschamps did not mention anything about Ekitike’s fitness during his presser, which suggests that the striker could be fit to face the Blues.
Still, he may not start the game. Alexander Isak looks likely to lead the line for the Reds. The Swede has four goals in six meetings vs Chelsea.
