Liverpool plan to keep Salah for the season

Liverpool are poised to keep hold of Mohamed Salah for the remainder of the campaign despite his mixed relationship with manager Arne Slot.

The Egypt international has endured a tough season with the Merseyside giants. He has bagged just five goals and four assists from 20 games.

Salah was a regular on the bench before reporting for the Africa Cup of Nations, but the club are not contemplating his winter departure.

As things stand, the Anfield outfit are determined to keep him in their ranks and a decision could be made on his future at the end of the season.

There is evident interest from the Saudi Pro League in the winger, but the Reds are prepared to wait until the summer to consider a possible sale.

Salah will be in Africa Cup of Nations action against Senegal on Wednesday. If Egypt progress, they will face either Morocco or Nigeria in the final on Sunday night.
